I can only describe it as a miracle that has been divinely guided.
The first South African ONE SMALL town is now officially a reality.
The amazing thing about this is that it is an entire District Municipality - not just one town.
The Executive Mayor, the Speaker the Municipal manager, and all members of the council have embraced the ONE SMALL TOWN model and made it their own.
The last presentation done by myself, Michael Matshaka and Llewellyn Dippenaar, in the council chambers, was to the three Traditional leaders and their teams. It was very emotional to see the Mayor and Speaker of the house present the OST initiative as their own. They have now taken ownership of this simple plan and they will promote it with their own passion to the people of the entire region.
The Mayor expects to launch a full campaign that she will take on the road to introduce to all the people.
The objective is to get as many people to sign up as members of the OST Cooperative for these towns. We anticipate around 30,000 people to sign up. This will make this OST initiative an immediate success and a huge attraction to funders from all over the world.
We are finalizing the press releases and the Mayor's first media appearance most likely next week. Full disclosure will be made as soon as this happens.
I call on all South Africans and ONE SMALL TOWN supporters around the world to get behind this incredible effort that will change the world we live in forever. This is a small idea, with a huge impact on the entire world.
The ONE SMALL TOWN implementation team needs all the support we can get to keep the administration office going and as effective as we can be. So do the one thing that will ensure the success of the first launch.
BECOME A PATRON of ONE SMALL TOWN. Make a small monthly contribution to the OST office and know that you are an active participant in making the ONE SMALL TOWN initiative a reality.
Much more news next week.
