1 – OUR OWN TRADING PLATFORM
About 4 weeks ago, it became clear to us that our intended collaboration with a third party service provider for our trading platform and a digital wallet would not be possible. As much as we all wanted to use an amazing trading platform and digital wallet, it became clear that the existing system was developed very specifically to suit their own business model. As much as we tried to adapt it to the needs of the ONE SMALL TOWN initiative, we kept coming up against complex hurdles to meet our needs.
Keep in mind that we are doing something very new and unique with OST. We realised that we will have to create our own custom trading platform and digital wallet for the INFINITY and INVESTOR Tokens, and all other future activity in this area – which includes the art gallery sales and NFTs.
Over the past three weeks we have been working on this solution. I can now report with great excitement that we have achieved exactly that. We are testing the platform and our digital wallet this week and hope to launch it as soon as we are satisfied with its performance.
2- OUR OWN BLOCKCHAIN
The past 8 weeks has taught us many critical lessons about the crypto world and how to protect our own unique activity and OST intellectual property from potential infiltrators. We now have a NEW centralised OST Platform, which is the secure centralised management system for all OST activity around the world; all new towns; members; all businesses and projects; project management and every aspect of what we do, including the digital wallets and trading platform. All of this will be backed up by our own blockchain, expected to be complete in 3 months.
3 - PRE-ORDERS OF INFINITY TOKENS
In the meantime, we want to fulfil all the pre-orders of the INFINITY tokens. Everyone who booked their tokens will be receiving an email from Helene McGinn, our webmaster, with instructions how to complete your order. Our online payments are now ready to process all the pre-orders. Until our own blockchain is ready, we are using the Cardano Blockchain for all our activity. The INFINITY and INVESTOR tokens have been minted on this blockchain – until we can migrate them safely to our own blockchain and trading platform.
For the immediate and short term period, our token sales will be done in a Cardano Wallet called Yoroi – which can be downloaded here https://yoroi-wallet.com/#/ Please ensure that you download this wallet and have your wallet address ready when ordering INFINIFTY tokens. The INFINITY token will be sent to your Yoroi wallet.
4 - OST KURUMAN MEMBERSHIPS – OFFICE – FIRST PROJECTS
We are about to move into our Kuruman ONE SMALL TOWN office, which will also serve as a training facility; seedling germination laboratory; and OST store and warehouse for our food and other products. From here we will service the soup and food kitchens for the very first community projects in Kuruman. These will be mostly uplifting the town, streets, parks, old age homes, orphanages, and care centres. The first projects are part of creating maximum visibility and signing up members for the OST Kuruman Cooperative. The local radio station will be used as our main media tool to spread our message and communicate with the people across this vast area. 60,000 Pamphlets, in three languages are about to be printed. Tswana, English, and Afrikaans.
5 - OST LEBANON – OFFICE, GALLERY AND FIRST PROJECS
Fayez Moukarim is about to settle in Ras El Matn, Lebanon, and open the office; start signing up members; and open the Art Gallery. This is a very exciting prospect for the OST arts and culture projects in the future. We have over 100 amazing works of art that have been pledged to the OST gallery by local artists, some of whom are well known internationally. The sale of the art pieces and the NFTs associated with the art, will also be sold from our Trading Platform to collectors around the world.
6 – SEED GENETICIST – FIRST FOOD GROWING PROJECT – EDUCATION
We expect our seed geneticist to start by the second week of August. The first project is to revive the failing food tunnel growing programme that was abandoned by Anglo American some years ago. This is a 10 million Rand installation that will grow huge amounts of vegetables for the local stores, and provide the local community with abundance of their own food. It will also be our seed germination area and critical training of people who want to learn all these skills of growing food, preparing the soil, and germinating seeds of all kinds. We expect this food growing project to generate around R500,000 per month, or more. A great boost for the community.
This will be the beginning of our seed bank. Our geneticist claims that he can grow millions of organic seeds for farmers in South Africa and Lebanon – and other farmers around the world. We all await his arrival with great excitement.
