ONE SMALL TOWN NEWS- 13 February 2022
The past week has seen truly amazing growth and activity.
More and more mayors are responding with great interest and belief that the ONE SMALL TOWN plan will help them turn their towns around.
Most small towns of the world today suffer from the same problem - rapid economic decay; businesses closing, factories and farms standing empty; no work; and very few prospects for finding solutions to these problems. The mayors are almost powerless to stop it, because the economic model of the world does NOT serve or benefit small towns. In fact, it is the opposite. The Capitalist expansion favours metropolitan areas at the expense of small towns.
This will all stop as soon as the first ONE SMALL TOWN is launched.
We are engaging with more mayors every week. This week I meet with a new mayor in KZN province, South Africa - following week a mayor in the Northern Cape, and then Mpumalanga, Limpopo, Western Cape, and more.
Great progress has been made with the first community-owned hospital - designs and operating costs have been presented to me and potential funders have made contact with me.
We are edging closer and closer to the launch of OST in Lebanon, with loads of people working very hard to make this a reality in the next few months. At the same time, we also focus on Namibia and South Africa - developing business plans for all the different situations.
I will be meeting with our first USA mayor in 2 weeks - this has been a highly anticipated event for some time.
At the office we are constantly improving our websites, IT, social media and more. The new OST APP is nearing completion.
All the travelling is very exhausting and costly to manage, while the office, admin, and 16 Ambassadors need to remain active, coordinated and managed.
The more successful we are - the more financial support we need.
Please BECOME a PATRON of the ONE SMALL TOWN initiative - Know that you are actively participating in making this beautiful world for all - a reality.
More to come soon
